Privilege tax and the compliance calendar

There is no conventional sales tax in Arizona. The state charges a Transaction Privilege Tax to the seller, and the classification your activity falls into determines the treatment you get. Peoria layers a municipal privilege tax over the state rate, and contracting performed across city boundaries raises the question of where the income belongs. The remainder of the year is state withholding, Form A-4 elections for new hires and the business personal property filing on equipment: each simple on its own, collectively easy to let slip, which is why we hold the calendar rather than leaving it with you. Rates move, so current figures come from the Department of Revenue tables.

Do you have an office in Peoria?
No. Our only office is at 6861 E Main St in Mesa, AZ, about 50 minutes southeast of Peoria, and we serve clients there from that location. Most of the work runs through the client portal and scheduled calls, so coming in is optional.
Are your preparers CPAs?
Yes. The team includes credentialed CPAs and licensed Enrolled Agents. An Enrolled Agent is federally licensed to represent taxpayers before the IRS, which is what matters if a filing turns into an audit.
What does tax preparation cost?
It depends on the entity, the number of schedules and the condition of the books, so we quote after the discovery call instead of publishing a price that would not apply to you. You get the figure before any work begins.
Can you handle both business and personal returns?
