State rules and local compliance

Arizona does not have a conventional sales tax. It has a Transaction Privilege Tax charged to the seller for the privilege of doing business in the state, and the classification your activity falls under determines the treatment. Because Maricopa sits in Pinal County, the county rate stacks differently than it does for cities in Maricopa County, and the city applies its own privilege tax rate as well. Owners who assume the Phoenix numbers apply here usually collect the wrong amount, sometimes for a full year. The rest of the calendar is state withholding, Form A-4 elections for new hires and the business personal property filing on equipment. Rates change, so we confirm current figures against the Department of Revenue tables before filing.

Do you have an office in Maricopa?
No. Our only office is at 6861 E Main St in Mesa, AZ, about an hour north of Maricopa, and we serve clients there from that location. Most of the work runs through the client portal and scheduled calls, so coming in is optional.
Are your preparers CPAs?
Yes. The team includes credentialed CPAs and licensed Enrolled Agents. An Enrolled Agent is federally licensed to represent taxpayers before the IRS, which is what matters if a filing turns into an audit.
What does tax preparation cost?
It depends on the entity, the number of schedules and the condition of the books, so we quote after the discovery call instead of publishing a price that would not apply to you. You get the figure before any work begins.
Can you handle both business and personal returns?
