Lodging permit and tax work we manage

We help with lodging tax registration and filing for your Lake Havasu City vacation rental from the first booking. We guide you through the Arizona transaction privilege tax (TPT) license and any local permit requirements, confirm your license number shows on your listings, and prepare each lodging return on time, checking any tax a booking platform has already remitted on your behalf against what still needs to be reported. If your rental supports a seasonal business, we keep the TPT and payroll work moving on the same calendar as the lodging filings.

Will my Lake Havasu rental be handled remotely or do I need to visit your office?
Nearly all our Havasu clients work with us fully online using our secure portal, phone and video calls. If you happen to be near Mesa, you are welcome to stop by our office, but it is never required.
Can you pick up lodging tax filings that someone else started for my rental?
We review what has already been filed, help you register any missing Arizona TPT license or local permit, and continue the filings from there. We also check past periods that were skipped and look at whether penalty relief may apply.
What does CPA support run for an owner with one or two rentals here?
Cost depends on the number of properties, any separate business involved and the state of your current records, so we provide pricing after an initial call. We put that fee in writing before work begins, and we offer the first call free of charge.
I live in another state and own rentals in Lake Havasu City. Can you handle the filings in both places?
We prepare your Arizona rental return and review if you also need to file in your home state, applying available credits to help reduce double taxation on your rental income. Each state return is filed separately, and we coordinate the timing so the two line up.
What should I do if the IRS or Arizona sends me a notice about my rental?
Send it to us as soon as you get it. Our Enrolled Agents can represent you before the IRS with your authorization, and our team can also correspond with the Arizona Department of Revenue and evaluate whether a payment plan makes sense.
